The 2016 Wimbledon Championships are underway Monday, with No. 1 seed and two-time reigning champion Novak Djokovic standing as the overwhelming 5/6 favorite ahead of top contenders and rivals No. 2 Andy Murray and No. 3 Roger Federer.

Making quick work of London-born James Ward (No. 177) in a straight-sets victory Monday, Djokovic is gunning for his fifth straight slam title after wrapping up a career Grand Slam at the French Open earlier this month.

The 29-year-old Serb, who’s gone 44-3 and claimed six titles through the first half of the year, will face France’s Adrian Mannarino in the second round in their first-ever meeting.

Meanwhile, the Scotsman Murray is viewed as Djokovic’s top competition and likely foe in the final at 14/5 odds, followed by the Swiss Federer at 16/1, and sixth-seeded Canadian Milos Raonic at 20/1, according to the latest futures from OddsChecker.com.

Murray, who won the second slam of his career at Wimbledon three years ago, is set to open the tournament against No. 234 and unseeded Liam Broady on Tuesday. Though he shares a bracket with likely semifinal competitor Stan Wawrinka, Murray is also looking forward to besting Djokovic for the second time this year and he’s started the grass season well.

Murray claimed the Aegon Championships last week in London, notably swatting back No. 9 Milos Raonic and No. 13 Marin Cilic in the process and is a perfect 5-0 on grass this year.

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Federer, battling back and knee injuries all year, has a poor 16-6 record this season but can never be underestimated on grass. On Monday, Federer will meet Argentina’s Guido Pella, who’s never faced Federer and dropped his lone grass match of the season to No. 103 and German Benjamin Becker at the Aegon Open in Nottingham.
