Windstar Cruises has been featured among 13 cruise lines in the annual 'Gold List' of Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Windstar Cruises was selected by the readers of the magazine for the Gold List that is a collection of the world’s best hotels, resorts and cruise lines.

Contenders for the 'Gold List' had to compete on a variety of criteria including itineraries, cabins, service, design, activities and shore excursions, where Windstar Cruises has made a mark, said media reports. In fact, the cruise line has been featured year after year in the list.

Seattle-based Windstar Cruises provides travelers with the opportunity to discover small ports around the world in a luxurious setting. The cruise line operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that sails through less-traveled harbors of the world's most cherished destinations throughout Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas.

Earlier this year, Windstar Cruises was featured on Conde Nast Traveler's list of 'Best Cruise Lines' as well. In addition, last month Windstar Cruises was also voted the 'Most Romantic Cruise Line' by the readers of Porthole Cruise Magazine in the 12th Annual 'Best of Cruising' Reader's Choice Awards.

The luxurious Windstar Cruises is known for romantic yachts, making it a most preferred choice among honeymooners and couples.

According to the cruise line, Windstar plans to begin voyages to some of the most romantic ports in Europe including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Oslo and Bruges in 2011.
