witches of east end season 2 spoilers
Did a deleted scene video from "Witches of East End" reveal who the Gatherer is? A new Beauchamp will join Wendy (Madchen Amick, left), Freya (Jenna Dewan Tatum, center) Joanna (Julia Ormond, right) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston, not pictured) before the Season 2 finale. Witches of East End

Things are getting pretty twisted on Season 2 of “Witches of East End.” Witches are being hanged, warlocks are downing feisty scorpions and Tommy (Ignacio Serricchio) was just carved like a human jack-o'-lantern. But out of all the chilling scenes we’ve witnessed on the supernatural drama, the creepiest moment from the sophomore installment was one that was deleted.

That’s right! A freaky moment from “The Fall of the House of Beauchamp” was deleted from episode 10. And hear you me, the clip sent shivers down our spine with the scene’s shocking revelation.

The never-before-seen-scene, which shows a moment between Joanna (Julia Ormond) and her dead daughters in a dream, starts with the Beauchamp matriarch abruptly entering a delusion due to her gruesome suicide attempt (In episode 10, Joanna slit her wrists in her bathtub after grieving the deaths of Freya [Jenna Dewan Tatum] and Ingrid [Rachel Boston]). Joanna picks herself up from the blood-soaked tub and walks down the stairs dripping wet. When she arrives at the room where she left the bodies of her daughters, they’re gone.

“Where were you?” the decaying corpse of Ingrid asks. “We needed you,” Freya chimed in as their mother profusely apologized. That’s when a book appeared on the table. “You remember that book, right?” Freya asks. “It’s important that you remember,” Ingrid adds.

Joanna walks over to it and flips to a page, leaving her with a shocked expression. “What are you looking at?” Freya asks as her mother stares at the disturbing image of a spiraling dark hole. “The underworld,” she responds, clearly distraught. “Hell.”

“That is a real thing?” Freya asks with concern.

“It’s very real. My sister lives there,” Joanna responds.

“Aunt Wendy lives in hell?” Ingrid questions.

“My other sister,” Joanna drops the bomb. “She wants you both. I can’t let her take you.” She slams the books shut. At that moment the candles blow out and the lights begin to flicker. “I’m scared!” Ingrid screams as the deleted clip ends.

Does this mean the secret identity of the Gatherer is has been revealed? In the Season 2 episode, “The Son Also Rises,” Ingrid found a book named “Occult History of Sorcery” that featured a chapter on her family. Portraits of five witches were labeled "The Dagger," "The Bridge," "The Traveler," “The Key” and "The Gatherer," whom Ingrid was unable to identify. Since Ingrid uncovered the book, the storyline has displayed so much action (sex-craved monsters, critical character deaths, island witches with deep dark secrets) that we nearly forgot about this mysterious plot point -- until now.

During an interview with International Business Times, “Witches” executive producer Maggie Friedman explained that fans would learn who the Gatherer is before the second season concluded. And considering the Season 2 finale episode is titled “The Gathering” it’s safe to assume that Joanna’s long-lost sister will be revealed when episode 13 airs on Sunday, Oct. 12.
