Even witches need a break from spell-binding drama every now and then! Although our favorite Lifetime series, “Witches of East End,” was noticeably missing from its Sunday evening slot on Aug. 3, rumor has it the beautiful Beauchamp women will be back with wands a-blazin’ when episode 5, “Boogie Knights,” airs this Sunday, Aug. 10, at 9 p.m. EDT.
Excited? You totally should be! According to the synopsis of episode 5, not only will “Boogie Knights” feature a Frillian flashback, but fans will also get to learn more about Ingrid’s relationship with the sexy/scary (we can’t decide which!) Mandragora.
For those who can’t remember the blue creature lurking throughout the woods and ravishing Ingrid in the forest is the same supernatural entity responsible for the killing of three residents from East End. The summary suggests Wendy and Frederick will put aside their differences to come together and try to stop the Mandragora from taking another life. But as the two try to put an end to the Mandragora madness, Ingrid’s relationship with the sexy (OK, we’ve decided to pick a side) creature will only intensify.
Episode 5 will also introduce a new character played by Michelle Hurd. According to reports, Hurd will be taking on the role of Alex, Joanna’s long-time friend, who will attempt to help the Beauchamp matriarch figure a plan of action in regards to the opened portal. Alex will also be the one to tell Freya of her unfortunate and "star-crossed" fate with Killian.
"It doesn’t end well. It never has,” Alex says, adding that the cycle of pain and death should be broken “before it’s too late.”
But Frillian-drama isn’t the only thing to cause pain in episode 5. According to a promo from “Boogie Knights,” Joanna will get the surprise of a lifetime when she learns that the scaly creature who came slithering out of the portal has some sort of trance-like effect on Ingrid.
Seriously, is it just us or can Sunday not come soon enough? Because you’ve all been such patient little witches and warlocks, we’ve decided to compile the best photos from episode 5 to give you a taste of what’s to come. Hint: It’s pretty damn sexy – and frightening!
