According to reports, Frederick is actually Freya’s twin brother. The reason for their separation is that Frederick opted to stay in Asgard while Joanna, Victor and Wendy were banished. But now he’s back – or at least, that’s what we think due to the hooded man in the Season 2 trailer.

The synopsis for the second season suggests the upcoming storyline will focus around darkness that spreads throughout East End when a new stranger (Cookie) arrives.

“This season, with the portal to Asgard open, what comes through will forever change the lives of the Beauchamps. Joanna is still weak with poison in her blood as the Beauchamps search desperately for a cure. With the death of Penelope, Killian and Dash’s warlock powers return.”
