‘World Of Dance’
Will the Jabbawockeez make it to the cuts in “World of Dance” Season 1? NBC

“World of Dance” Season 1 will air its final duels episode on Tuesday, July 11.

Ahead of the installment, NBC dropped a 40-second teaser featuring some of the contestants who have yet to take the stage for a chance at competing in the cuts. Judge Derek Hough tells one of the acts that their performance is “a million dollar routine,” but it is unclear if they will make it to the next round. Two acts will be pitted against each other, but only the one that receives the higher score will advance in the competition.

Also on Tuesday night’s episode, “World of Dance” will introduce its first three-way battle between three teams of dancers. Two of the teams are the Jabbawockeez and Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions. According to the promo, the three-way battle will rock the entire competition. As of late, anything can happen in “World of Dance.” But based on the scores from the auditions, the Jabbawockeez received a much higher rating than the Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions.

Following the final duels episode, “World of Dance” judges Hough, Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo will head to the cuts. They will be joined by professional ballet dancer Misty Copeland, who will act as guest judge. In this segment, only half of the acts that made it through the duels will head on to the divisional finals.

After the two-episode cuts, “World of Dance” will air one divisional finals episode. In this installment, two acts from the three categories, juniors, uppers and teams, will compete with each other. Whoever will receive the highest score will face off in the world finals.

“World of Dance” is expected to wrap up sometime next month. Dubbed as the newest “summer obsession” in NBC, the hit reality TV competition has already been renewed for Season 2. But ahead of next year’s run, one contestant from the juniors, uppers or team division will be named the first winner of “World of Dance” and will receive the $1 million grand prize.

“World of Dance” Season 1 airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
