Dewan Tatum was the last person to have been tapped by Jennifer Lopez herself to join her in “World of Dance.” After Ne-Yo and Derek Hough were cast as judges, Lopez announced that she personally chose Dewan Tatum to join them in “World of Dance.”

During an interview with host Seth Meyers on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Dewan Tatum gushed over Lopez and said that she’s a huge fan of hers. “I mean, as a dancer, she’s like an icon. You grow up, and you’re like, she’s a dancer. She turned into an actress. She created an empire for herself. And I am so in love with her. She’s the nicest, coolest, most beautiful person in the world. And I was like, I’m going to do this show,” she said.

Meanwhile, Dewan Tatum also opened up about her young daughter’s first time attending dance class. According to the “Step Up” actress, Everly, 4, initially did not want to try dancing. But after attending one class, she told her parents that she wants to do it again. “And I’m like, ‘Well, let’s go!’ I organize the troops. I’m like, ‘let’s get the tights, I need the shoes, let’s get the bag, let’s go!’” she said.

“World of Dance” did not air a new episode on Tuesday, July 4, but will return for the third round of duels on July 11. A week after, the first part of the cuts will air on NBC. Professional ballet dancer Misty Copeland will act as guest judge, and she will help the judges choose which acts will advance to the divisional finals.
