The "World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor" expansion released an update regarding the flight restriction in the game. This was prompted by the numerous discussions and complaints about it in "WoW" community sites, forums, chat channels and blogs. Read on to learn more about it.

Battle.net reports that the initial plan about restricting flight in "Warlords of Draenor," even after reaching level 100, was made because developers wanted to give players a better chance to explore the game's world and have amazing gameplay moments. They believed that this could be achieved only by removing the option to fly.

But the developers of the game led, by Ion "Watcher" Hazzikostas, realized that the flight restriction plan should be updated so that players can still use their flying mounts to travel in the skies of Draenor. They plan on incorporating flight in "Warlords of Draenor" without compromising the fun of exploring it by ground.

Aside from the flight restriction plan update, "World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor" will also introduce the "Draenor Pathfinder" meta-achievement. This will be part of the coming Public Test Realm build.

"Draenor Pathfinder" can be earned by "WoW" players in Patch 6.2. All they have to do is master Draenor's outdoor world. This can be accomplished the following ways.

Goals

1. Explore the zones of "Warlords of Draenor."

2. Complete the "Securing Draenor" and "Draenor Loremaster" achievements.

3. Collect 100 treasures in Draenor.

4. Raise three new Tanaan Jungle reputations to Revered.

Reward

1. The Soaring Skyterror rylak mount

"WoW" players need to wait for the follow-up patch (6.2x) before the Soaring Skyterror can be used to fly in the game.

The "Draenor Pathfinder" meta-achievement is crucial to flying again in "Warlords of Draenor" because all players who have earned this on at least one of their characters will unlock the ability to fly in the game. This is applicable for all their level 90+ characters.

Hazzikostas noted that this flight restriction update will let players explore and discover new lands from the ground as well as fly in the game after mastering its environment.
