On Thursday, Forbes magazine unveiled its ranking of the top 10 earning female models in the world; making a total of $112 million in the last twelve months which was up 30 percent from the previous year.

Coming in at top three are supermodels Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum and Kate Moss enjoying most of this gain. The listed names are not only accomplished supermodels but successful entrepreneurs, designers and role models.

Forbes also mentioned that while the elite supermodels are getting paid properly; newcomers are not enjoying the same pay-days as they did before recession.

A new name in the list of top-earners is Lara Catherina Stone, a Dutch model who is famous as the face of the luxe brand Calvin Klein. She was also involved in a number of other campaigns for Prada, Versace and Karl Lagerfeld. With earnings worth $4.4 million, Lara enters the list of elite models across the globe.

Another new addition is Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel who replaced Dutch model Doutzen Kroes.

Swanepoel, who debuts with estimated net earnings of $3 million, has recently evoked a lot of controversy with the media and critics proclaiming her to be scary skinny.
