In its annual listings of the global individual wealth, Forbes magazine also noted who the richest women in the world are. Here are the top ten:
Anne Cox Chambers, 91, is the daughter of James M. Cox, who founded Cox Enterprises, which today comprise Cox Communications cable company, 17 daily newspapers, 15 TV stations, 86 radio stations, as well as Manheim auctions and AutoTrader.com.
Anne served as ambassador to Belgium under U.S. president Jimmy Carter and she was the first woman appointed to the board of Atlanta's chamber of commerce.
