WoW Patch
Blizzard has released new updates and hotfixes to "Fury of Hellfire" patch 6.2.2 for "World of Warcraft." Blizzard Entertainment

On Tuesday millions of “World of Warcraft” players sighed with relief as Patch 6.2.2 for the “Warlords of Draenor” expansion went live -- finally allowing players to fly through WoW’s newest world and introducing Mercenary Mode for PvP.

The lack of flying when the expansion was released in November last year caused an uproar in the WoW community, having to walk or slowly get around on an earth-bound mount can be frustrating and time consuming for players used to zipping around on a flying mount.

Developer Blizzard Entertainment explained their thought process behind the flight ban upon “Warlords of Draenor’s” release, saying that they’d put so much effort into building the world that they wanted people to actually enjoy it.

To explore Draenor from the skies players have to earn the “Draenor Pathfinder” achievement, the guide for which is in the video below.

“World of Warcraft” Patch 6.2.2 also introduced “Mercenary Mode” for PvP, which essentially lets players queuing for Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds fight for the opposite faction if their faction’s wait time is “long.”

While Blizzard did not explain what constitutes a long wait time, it did say that players will automatically have “their race changed into one appropriate for the opposite faction,” so your fellow players will have no idea you’re hiding out.

Players in Mercenary Mode will still earn the same rewards as they would normally, except for faction-specific achievements.

Last month Blizzard announced the new expansion "World of Warcraft: Legion," which will see a new class called Demon Hunters.
