John Cena hasn’t had a pay-per-view match since he defeated The Miz at WrestleMania 33, but the 16-time-world champion is expected to return with a victory. Cena enters WWE Battleground, Sunday’s “SmackDown Live” PPV, as the biggest favorite on the card.

Cena’s betting odds indicate that there is almost no chance he’ll lose his flag match with Rusev. That doesn’t come as much of a surprise since the biggest name on the blue brand could be heading for a WWE Championship Match at SummerSlam in just four weeks.

Cena is 3-1 in his career against Rusev in PPV matches. Rusev hasn’t competed at a PPV since Fastlane.

Jinder Mahal is the second biggest Battleground favorite as he takes on Randy Orton for a third straight PPV. The WWE Champion defeated Orton for the title at Backlash, and he won the rematch at Money in the Bank. After two straight losses, it’s hard to believe that Orton will get the victory this time and continue the feud.

AJ Styles is favored to successfully defend his United States Championship against Kevin Owens. He’s yet to defend the belt on TV since taking the belt from Owens at a Madison Square Garden live event.

Shinsuke Nakamura is also a slight favorite against Baron Corbin in their singles match. Wins for both Styles and Nakamura could set up a match between the former New Japan Pro-Wrestling stars at SummerSlam.

There is one championship that’s expected to change hands at Battleground. The Usos are underdogs in their SmackDown Tag Team Title Match with The New Day. The Usos became champions shortly before WrestleMania 33, and The New Day lost their Raw Tag Team Championships at Roadblock: End of the Line in December.

In the one women’s match, there isn’t one superstar that is the far and away favorite, though Charlotte Flair has the best odds. Every woman on the “SmackDown Live” roster, except Carmella, will compete in a five-way elimination match for the right to face SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi at SummerSlam.

Of the eight matches on the card, only two heels are favored. Jinder is expected to defeat Orton, and Mike Kanellis is a slight favorite Sunday, as well. In a late addition to the card, Kanellis will have his first-ever WWE PPV match, taking on Sami Zayn.
