WWE No Mercy 2017: Betting Odds, Start Time, Live Stream Info

The first WWE pay-per-view following SummerSlam is as big as it gets outside of the “Big Four” events. No Mercy 2017 features a few matches that could’ve been saved for WrestleMania 34, and the betting odds indicate that arguably the biggest match of the year could go either way.

No Mercy officially starts at 8 p.m. EDT, though the kickoff show begins at 7 p.m. EDT on WWE Network. Fans can either watch the event with a live stream on WWE Network, or they can order the PPV for $54.99. A subscription to the network costs $9.99 per month, though new subscribers get the first month free.

The top of the card is so stacked that the match between John Cena and Roman Reigns probably won’t go on last. The main event will likely be reserved for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship defense against Braun Strowman.

When it comes to Cena and Reigns, it’s extremely difficult to pick a winner. It’s hard enough to believe the match is happening at a random PPV in September instead of in the final match at WWE’s biggest event of the year. The winner will ultimately depend on WWE’s plans for the two superstars going forward.

Does WWE intend on doing a rematch? If that’s the case, Cena might come out on top.

Reigns has the advantage if Sunday is going to be a one-off. Cena looks to be done wrestling on a full-time basis, and it wouldn’t make much sense to put him over the superstar that’s becoming the new face of the company.

The same logic could be applied to Lesnar vs. Strowman. It’s unknown for how much longer Lesnar intends to wrestle, and there have been rumors that he’ll be gone from WWE once his contract expires after WrestleMania 34. Strowman has been as popular as any superstar in 2017, and he’s got a bright future with WWE.

Everything leading up to No Mercy suggests that Lesnar will retain his championship. No matter how little he wrestles, Lesnar is still the most recognizable name in WWE. If he’s going to drop the belt, WWE better make it count.

Sunday’s PPV will feature four other championship matches. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are favored to keep their Raw Tag Team Championships. Alexa Bliss is expected to retain her Raw Women’s Championship, even though she’ll defend it against four other wrestlers in a fatal 5-way match.

Jason Jordan is favored to beat The Miz for the IC Title. There are no betting odds for the cruiserweight championship match between Neville and Enzo Amore.
