The Veteran’s Day edition of Monday Night “RAW” was broadcast in honor of the troops serving the United States military. The night saw Ryback and Cena in a tug-of-war for the WWE Championship. CM Punk was pinned by Cena and Miz in a possible face turn by joining team Foley at Survivor Series.

John Cena defeated WWE Champion CM Punk in a clean victory at the end of Monday’s “RAW.” The show didn’t go off the air then, though, as Ryback and Cena each grabbed one end of the WWE Title; while the two men held the belt, the Second City Saint stood by waiting for them to relinquish his championship.

The three men will meet in a triple threat match at Survivor Series this Sunday to fight for the prestigious World Title, but that is just one of several main events. In the traditional Survivor Series match with Team Foley facing Team Ziggler, the Miz has joined the ranks of the fan favorite group by aligning himself with Mick Foley.

Miz has been a heel for years, and fans immediately reacted to his change of pace. The Awesome One also kept his demeanor the same, aside from showing appreciation for the crowd’s reaction to him.

The newly branded good-guy Miz teamed up with Kane and defeated the Rhode Scholars in a tag team match, to the dismay of Kane’s fellow Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan. All the Superstars involved in the match will be a part of the 10-person bot at Survivor Series.

The final main event for Sunday’s pay-per-view is World Heavyweight Champion Big Show vs. Sheamus for the title, and Sheamus showed strength on “RAW” with a definitive victory over high-end jobber David Otunga. After Sheamus’s win, the Giant proceeded to attack William Regal backstage, getting further under the skin of the Celtic Warrior.

Show had already dealt out punishment to Regal in a singles match last night. The fight was one sided and left Regal visibly hurt.

In what wasn’t the biggest surprises in WWE TV history, Ryback defeated rogue referee turned wanna-be superstar Brad Maddox in a one-on-one match. NoDQ reports that Maddox will likely make a return to WWE in early 2013, but will be selling the injuries from Ryback until then.

The night opened with Randy Orton facing Dolph Ziggler, but after the Viper won, Vickie Guerrero restarted the fight as a tag team match. Alberto del Rio teamed with the Showoff to beat Orton and Kofi Kingston.

The AJ Lee scandal continued later in the show, and Ziggler got his in the form of a slap form AJ Lee and hard punch from Cena. Vickie Guerrero revealed voice mails left from the former “RAW” General Manager to the Cenation Leader, but both parties continue to deny the allegations.

Last night’s “RAW” also saw the comeback of Jerry “The King” Lawler. After a long, meaningful speech, CM Punk interrupted the commentator to mock his near fatal incident and gain heat from the crowd.

R-Truth defeated Tensai in a match set to make the former Tag Team Champion look strong before his fight for the United States Title against current champion Antonio Cesaro on Sunday. Cesaro is on a role as a new talent in WWE and should keep the belt, but Truth’ should be treated as a formidable opponent or he’ll be buried.

The team of Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio were victorious over The Prime Time Players and Primo and Epico in an eight-man tag match. This could lead to a fatal-fourway tag match at Survivor Series, which would be a good way to determine the next no. 1 contenders for the bronze belts.

Kaitlyn defeated Layla to become the No. 1 contender for the Divas Championship. The rookie will take on Eve Torres at Survivor Series for the women’s belt.
