WWE taped its two weekly delayed programs at the Birmingham LG Arena in Birmingham, England. Audiences saw both of the matches for “SmackDown” and “Main Event,” which aired on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

On “SmackDown,” Alberto del Rio lost to Randy Orton in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The rivalry between the two performers has been forced from the beginning, but the two had a vicious match at Tuesday’s live “SmackDown” special.

Wade Barrett and World Heavyweight Champion Big Show defeated Sheamus and William Regal. Though Regal rarely performs, he put on a great match, and the bout also lent more credibility to Barrett as he rises in stardom.

Kofi Kingston successfully defended his Intercontinental Title against the former IC Champion The Miz. This marks the fourth time that Kingston has beaten the Awesome One.

The tag team division also had its moment at the overseas show, with the Prime Time Players defeating Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio. It was a big win for Darren Young and Titus O’Neil, being that Mysterio is a former World Champion and main eventer.

On “Main Event,” Sheamus managed to get the better of Wade Barrett after losing to him on SmackDown. The Celtic Warrior and the Bareknuckle Brawler work well together, and their matches highlight Barrett’s immense potential.

R-Truth also continued his winning streak by defeating Heath Slater. The match did end by disqualification, though.

Next week’s “Main Event” will feature Tag Team Champions Kane and Daniel Bryan facing off against Rhodes Scholars. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes have been building momentum in the tag division, and contending strongly against the current champions, so next Wednesday’s fight should be a high-end performance.
