Wynonna Judd’s husband has started to walk again since surviving a motorcycle accident that took his leg.

Backstage at “Dancing with the Stars,” the country singer revealed that Michael Scott “Cactus” Moser has started using his prosthetic leg, she told People.

"It freaked me out because I've seen him in a wheelchair and using a walker, and he just walked toward me and I was like, 'Wow.' I was so stunned. I saw the wreck, I saw him lose the leg," Judd said, describing Moser’s first steps since the accident.

Just two months into their marriage, Judd and Moser were riding on separate bikes when he was struck by a car after crossing the center line, AP reports. His leg was severed at the scene of the accident, Judd’s publicist said in a statement.

Judd credits her husband’s recovery to his positive attitude.

"I call him Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky. It's really irritating, because sometimes I just want to complain or act tired about dancing, and he'll say, 'But you're moving and you're looking so great.' I'm like, 'Go talk to Tony. You guys are so alike.' "

She was referring to her dancing coach, Tony Dovolani.

On March 18 the couple appeared in a documentary special about the ordeal called “Wynonna & Cactus: The Road Back” that featured interviews, photos and videos about the ordeal.
