The X-Files Episode 4 Synopsis
Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) will try to solve a murder that doesn't look like it was done by a human in episode 4 of "The X-Files" miniseries. Fox

Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) rediscovered his belief in monsters in episode 3 of Fox's "The X-Files" after meeting a were-lizard by the name of Guy Mann (Rhys Darby). While Guy was a friendly creature, Mulder and Scully (Gillian Anderson) could be dealing with someone or something much darker in episode 4, titled "Home Again."

According to the synopsis, Scully and Mulder will take on case involving the murder of a city official. When the two investigate, it appears as though the killing wasn't committed by "human hands."

In the promo video, a detective has called in Mulder and Scully because they have experiences with "spooky" cases, or at least they "used to." The creature they could be dealing with could be neither alive nor dead, which Mulder notes is "impossible." A creepy, dark figure is shown throughout the video that sort of looks like a zombie as it stalks it's victims.

Aside from trying to solve a murder, the storyline of Mulder and Scully missing their son William is expected to come up again. The synopsis says Scully will "face deeply emotional feelings about the child she gave up for adoption." Does this mean the two may look for William after missing the first 15 years of his life?

"Home Again" was written by Glen Morgan, the man behind the creation of some of the scariest characters to ever appear on "The X-Files." He co-wrote both Season 1 episodes that contained the character Tooms and the most infamous episode of the series, "Home," which was about the Peacocks, an inbred murdering family. "Home Again" won't be a sequel to Season 4, episode 2, "Home," but it will present another creepy villain.
