Alexandra Shipp, who plays Storm in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse,” may sport a mohawk in the film. The actress recently took to Twitter to share a look at her shaved head. In her new profile photo, she can be seen shaving off her head with an electric razor. She added in a tweet, “Guess the secret's out."

In the comics, Storm has a mohawk and Web speculations suggest that Shipp will sport the same style for the film, which is set in the 1980s. The character of Storm was seen with a mohawk in 1983’s comic book “Uncanny X-Men” No. 173. Storm has the ability to control weather and can fly. She is the former queen consort of Wakanda and fights for equality between mutants and humans. She is a member of the X-Men and her alter ego is Ororo Munroe.

Adding to the speculation, director Bryan Singer teased another photo of Shipp’s bald look on Instagram alongside co-star Sophie Turner (Jean Grey). Shipp and Turner are shown standing near a race car.

In last year's “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” Halle Berry played Storm. She was portrayed in a good light and worked in alliance with Professor X for the brotherhood of mutants and humans. However, Shipp’s Storm in “X-Men: Apocalypse” will have an element of darkness. Said Singer, "Storm is a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life,” reported Empire.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is filming in Montreal. The cast includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Oscar Isaac, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, Lucas Till, Ben Hardy, Lana Condor and Olivia Munn. John Ottman is the composer and Newton Thomas Sigel is the cinematographer. The film is scheduled to open May 27, 2016.
