Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi5 Plus Price, Specs Surface Before Official Announcement

Xiaomi Mi 5 launch event that will be held on Wednesday is close at hand. Rumors indicate that the Chinese manufacturer will announce two flagships, the Mi5 and Mi5 Plus. The specifications and price of both devices have surface just before the launch event.

Xiaomi Device, a Chinese retailer has listed the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus along with its specifications and price on its website. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is packed with a Quad HD display screen of 5.2-inch screen and is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. The SoC is supported by 4 GB of RAM.

There is a 16-megapixel camera on its rear panel that is accompanied by dual-LED flash. The front-facing snapper of the Mi 5 is of 8-megapixel.

It is available in two storage versions of 16 GB and 64 GB and it does not feature a microSD expansion slot. It is listed in multiple color options such as Gold, White and Black. Rumors have revealed that the smartphone will arrive in Pink color, but the Xiaomi Device listing does not feature it.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus will be larger smartphone but comes with the same specs as the Mi 5 model. It houses a huge 5.7-inch or 6-inch IPS display that supports Quad HD resolution. It will also feature a bigger battery. The Mi 5 Plus will be only in one storage edition of 64 GB.

Xiaomi Device has listed the 16 GB Xiaomi Mi 5 for $499 and the 64 GB model is priced at $599. The Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus is also priced as $599.

Speculations indicate that the Chinese manufacturer will also launch a Windows 10 Mobile ROM for Xiaomi Mi 5 owners. Other rumors indicate that the smartphone will be available in two OS versions, one featuring Android 6.0 Marshmallow overlaid with MIUI 7 and another one with Windows 10 Mobile OS.
