XO Communications and NEC Unified Solutions, Inc., a leading communications solutions integrator, announced before the opening bell today that NEC’s UNIVERGE® SV8100 and UX5000 communication platforms have been certified to work with XO’s award-winning Session Initiation Protocol trunking solution, XO SIP.
Over 15,000 businesses and 600,000 customer employees currently benefit from XO’s VoIP services. The UNIVERGE® SV8100 and UX5000 communications servers have also experienced wide adoption and deployment by NEC’s broad network of authorized dealers and their customers. The certification announced today confirms that the NEC SV8100 and UX5000 communications servers and XO SIP work seamlessly together.
“We’re excited to work closely with NEC Unified Solutions and be able to certify its UNIVERGE SV8100 and UX5000 communication platforms,” stated Eric Hyman, director of managed services at XO Communications. “With the interoperability of XO SIP and these NEC’s communications systems, businesses can more easily deploy and manage an end-to-end IP communications solution that leverages NEC’s robust, feature-rich and scalable systems coupled with the nationwide reach, pricing simplicity and performance of the XO SIP service.”
“As SMBs nationwide look to curb operating costs in today’s economy, they should consider the powerful combination of XO SIP and NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 and UX5000 communications servers,” commented Jay Krauser, general manager of core solutions and engineering, NEC. “We believe that together NEC and XO provide a clear migration path and business case for existing NEC customers, as well as a cost-effective replacement option for non-NEC users with strong return-on-investment potential.”
