XO Communications yesterday announced that it would be expanding the services capabilities of its international networks. These will include European IP/MPLS IP-VPN nodes and access to 48 countries through Europe, Europe, Asia/Pacific, North America, and South America as well as the U.S. territories of Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
XO Communications is a subsidiary of XO Holdings, Inc. and a provider of broadband communications services for businesses, enterprise, government organizations and carriers/service providers. XO boasts a customer base that includes more than half of the Fortune 500. XO offers customers a broad range of managed voice, data and IP services in over 85 markets across the United States.
XO’s expansion will allow them to offer customers in these new markets dedicated internet access, ethernet, MPLS IP-VPN and private line services, as well as improve service of its global network coverage. This expansion also includes global MPLS connectivity, and increasing subsea cable landing station/international gateways in the U.S.
