Cane and Lily on "The Young and the Restless"
Cane (Daniel Goddard) is stunned when he learns Juliet (Laur Allen, not pictured) had filed a sexual harassment claim against him on the June 6, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” Read: CBS

He has been trying hard to get Billy fired from Brash and Sassy, but Cane will be stunned when he realizes his job may be the one that’s on the line instead, following an unexpected lawsuit from Juliet on the Tuesday, June 6 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Cane (Daniel Goddard) knew he screwed up when he drunkenly hooked up with Juliet (Laur Allen) while in Tokyo, but he thought that had been behind them. However, now that his actions to get Billy (Jason Thompson) fired from Brash and Sassy, which included getting video of him taking bets with hockey players and then getting it aired on television, instead saw Juliet losing her job, the safety of knowing she wouldn’t go public and ruin his marriage to Lily (Christel Khalil) is gone on the CBS soap.

Now, Juliet, after being encouraged by Hilary (Mishael Morgan), has used the one-night stand against him and filed a lawsuit for sexual harassment. When Victoria (Amelia Heinle) calls him into the office to explain that Juliet is suing them, he will assume it is for wrongful termination and brush it off. However, when she has to break the news about what the lawsuit is really about however, he will be stunned by the move.

“What is it you want to go over with me?” Cane asks Victoria in a preview clip.

“We’re being sued,” she says. “By Juliet.”

Cane will know what she’s using as a basis for the lawsuit, and knowing that if the case does proceed, his secret hook-up will be exposed and Lily will know he was unfaithful, he will begin to panic. However, he’ll play things cool in front of Victoria, so as not to tip her off that there is actually something to worry about.

Meanwhile, Juliet will be wondering if she actually made the right move by trying to sue for sexual harassment, because she isn’t entirely sure what happened with Cane could constitute as that, since they both willingly slept together while drunk, and he never made any inappropriate advances on her afterwards. Trying to figure out if she’s doing the right thing, and aware that she could be destroying his marriage, she will go to Hilary for guidance.

“You think I have a strong case?” She asks.

“Strong, and explosive,” Hilary replies.

However, what Juliet doesn’t realize is that Hilary is using her for her own benefit. While the lawsuit does allow Juliet to get some revenge over losing her job, Hilary is more concerned with how news of her husband’s affair will destroy Lily. While Juliet’s concern about Lily is one where she worries about how she’ll be hurt, Hilary will be counting on the other woman feeling pain, which is something she has wanted for her for a long time.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
