“The Young and the Restless” family just got a little bit bigger! Soap star Mishael Morgan shared on Twitter over the weekend that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Morgan announced the news after missing a fan club event for “The Young and the Restless” at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, California on Saturday. While most of the cast was in attendance to meet with devoted followers of the CBS drama, Morgan was noticeably absent.

“I never thought I could love like this!” she captioned an Instagram photo of her newborn Sunday. “Mom’s heart is exploding Niam! #loveatfirstight #mybundleofjoy.”

Morgan also posted photos and a message for her fans on Twitter:

According to Soap Opera Digest, Morgan gave birth on August 9. And her due date was a bit of a surprise.

“She was supposed to have her boy on my birthday [August 17] but he came early,” Morgan’s co-star Bryton James told the outlet.

Morgan and James play lovebirds Devon and Hilary on “The Young and the Restless,” or as fans affectionately nicknamed them, “Hevon.” Their relationship has been through its fair share of drama – like Hilary being married to Devon’s dad, Neil (Kristoff St. John), however the couple finally got married during Friday’s episode. That doesn’t mean they have a lifetime of happiness ahead of them. Devon still has his bachelor party hanging over his head. Although Devon claims he blacked out, Colin has video footage of him going into a bedroom with another woman.

Morgan has been on the CBS daytime soap opera since 2013. The show decided not to include her pregnancy in Hilary’s storyline.

“All of my shots on camera are in front of the bar and from my waist up,” she told Essence earlier this summer. “That’s the great thing about saps: They work around it so easily. They’re so used to it.”

This is Mishael Morgan and her husband Navid’s first child. The couple wed in 2012.
