Youtube has permanently banned Conservative Commentator Dan Bongina for spreading misinformation about the effectiveness of masks, claiming they are “useless” in stopping the pandemic.

Bongino had uploaded a video to his main channel while his second channel was temporarily suspended for violating the site's Covid-19 misinformation policy.

“When a channel receives a strike, it is against our Terms of Service to post content or use another channel to circumvent the suspension,” a YouTube spokesperson told The Hill. If a channel is terminated the uploader will not be able to create, own, or use other Youtube channels. Both of Bongino’s channels have been removed.

Youtube had previously banned conservative commentators Joseph Mercola and Robert Kennedy Jr. for spreading misinformation about the vaccine.

Bongino had nearly 900,000 subscribers on his channel and was planning to leave Youtube. Bongino will continue to post his videos on Rumble, an alternative site that has been praised by other right-wing commentators and former President Donald Trump, whose alternative to Twitter TRUTH Social announced a partnership with Rumble in December.

“The Dan Bongino Show” currently has 2 million subscribers on Rumble.
