Shay Carl Butler has officially returned to Twitter. Just over one month after reactivating his social media account following his scandal in February, which led to his departure from the internet, Shay has posted a new photo to his account.

While fans are likely curious for him to address his cheating scandal with cam girl Aria Nina, and his issues with alcoholism which led to his disappearance from his Shaytards YouTube channel, he instead posted a photo with star skateboarder and TV personality Rob Dyrdek over the weekend and offered no explanation for the snap.

The post did not include a caption, but showed the famed vlogger smiling while posing next to the “Ridiculousness” host. While Shay did not include a message with the tweet, fans had plenty to say about his return.

“Welcome back, Shay! We missed the kids!” one fan wrote. “I was waiting for so long!” reads another tweet. “The greatest and most influential man to step on the platform of YouTube is back!” said another commenter.

The tweet had fans of Shay’s multiple YouTube channels wondering if his post meant he was returning to the video sharing site, but the father of five did not offer a response. “Shay are you ever going to be on YT again? I do miss seeing your whole family since I was a fan since the beginning,” posted one follower. “I am watching all your vlogs can’t wait for your comeback to YouTube,” reads another comment.

While Shay appears to be slowly returning to the limelight, his wife, Colette Butler, has already made her official comeback on YouTube. After several months away from the web alongside her husband, Colette posted a new video to her YouTube Katilette channel in September. In her video titled “Letting a Dream Die,” she gently touched on her family’s issues and admitted that the past few months haven’t been easy.

“Life happens. It’s been hard. Our relationship’s been messy. Our lives have been messy and that’s just the truth of it and I’m not afraid of that,” she said.

Colette has also returned to her shared The Mom’s View YouTube channel alongside her sister-in-laws Kayli Butler and Carlie Wood. The trio are currently posting three videos weekly. In their first video back on Oct. 2, Colette called the past several months a “a gift.”

“Obviously, I haven’t been on YouTube for a very long time,” Colette told the camera. “This has been a crazy year for me. It’s been a gift, honestly.”

“The best way to describe it is I’m awake and I know who I am and I’m so excited… I’m thinking, ‘All this stuff that I’m going through I’m learning I’m going to be able to use this to help somebody,’ to help you guys. For the first time in a really long time I feel like that fire underneath me.”

Aria Nina, who exposed her alleged affair with Shay in February, went on to call Colette’s YouTube return “pathetic” and “fake” on Twitter. Colette and Shay have not publicly responded to her comments.
