As the 50th Anniversary of Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin's famous first flight into orbit, space agencies across the globe are pulling out all the stops to comemmorate the event.

Yuri's Night will take place all week long as space fanatics celebrate one of the most famous days in history. NASA and other agencies will also celebrate the anniversary of the first space shuttle.
