Z Nation
Doc (Russell Hodgkinson) and Murphy (Keith Allan) will have to battle their way through zombies and mercenaries in "Z Nation" Season 2, episode 2. Syfy

It’s hard to believe that it has only been one week since the explosive, and downright bonkers, Season 2 premiere of “Z Nation.” Lucky for fans, episode 2 airs on Friday, and the Syfy network has a lot of teasers to satiate your appetite while you wait.

When last we left the rag-tag crew that now makes up Operation Bite Mark, They’d just let Murphy (Keith Allan) escape his zombie strip club thanks to a handsome new mercenary, Vasquez (Matt Cedeno) who was answering "the call of Citizen Z (DJ Qualls). After Murphy abandoned his team and set off a whole mess of nuclear weapons, Citizen Z put out an all-call to every potential mercenary still surviving the zombie apocalypse. As far as everyone is concerned, if they bring Murph to California, they’ll be first in line for a cure to the zombie apocalypse.

It looks like this will be the main point of contention going into the next episode. According to its synopsis on TV Guide, the gang is in for some gritty fighting and a potential loss in Season 2, episode 2, titled "White Light."

“The heroes are reunited, but soon find themselves navigating an unexpected tragedy as they engage in fierce fighting with both zombies and bounty hunters who are eager to capture Murphy, dead or alive,” the synopsis reads. “Meanwhile, Vasquez makes a strategic decision.”

As seen in a clip posted exclusively to the official Syfy network’s “Z Nation” website, things are rough all around for Operation Bite Mark. First, Citizen Z has to finish cleaning up his remote outpost in the arctic after a plane-full of zombies crash landed there. Meanwhile, it seems as though the episode is going to pick up right where the show left off with the group still running down Murphy in Wyoming.

Everyone catches up to him and Cassandra (Pisay Pao) on a remote street, and that’s when things take a turn. Operation Bite Mark finds themselves ambushed from both sides of the street as those looking to collect on Murphy’s bounty clash with one another. Unfortunately, the clip ends before the viewer can find out if there are any casualties from the attack. Looks like fans will just have to tune in to the episode on Friday at 10:00 p.m. EDT to find out what really goes down. In the meantime you can check out the clip at Syfy.
