USD/JPY Open 80.46 High 80.67 Low 80.19 Close 80.42

On Friday Dollar/Yen continued increasing insignificantly with almost 50 pips. The currency couple appreciated from 80.19 to 80.67 on Friday, matching the positive money flow sentiment at around +16%, closing the week at 80.42. This morning the Dollar is trading quietly against the Yen, with movements at the lower end of Friday's range for now.

On the 1 hour chart the upward channel is making renewal attempts, while on the 3 hour chart quotes are testing the upper limit of the wide trading range. Break above Friday's top and nearest resistance 80.67 would encourage further recovery of the Dollar. Immediate support is Friday's bottom at 80.19, and consistent break bellow it could strengthen the Yen further down towards next target 79.30.

There are no major economic events for Japan today.

Quotes are moving just above the 20 and 50 EMA on the 1 hour chart, indicating slim bullish pressure. The value of the RSI indicator is positive and calm, MACD is positive and tranquil too, while CCI is in line with the 100 line on the 1 hour chart, giving over all neutral to light long signals.
