After sporting what appeared to be a baby bump at the “Guardians of the Galaxy” film premiere in Los Angeles Monday, Zoe Saldana’s publicist confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter Wednesday that the actress is indeed with child.

This will be the first child for Saldana, 36, and Marco Perego, 35, who were married last summer. “Zoe is about three months along," an insider told Us Weekly.

Saldana wore a form-fitting Louis Vuitton dress to the film premiere, drawing attention to her midsection as she stepped out on the red carpet, fueling pregnancy rumors. “She will only announce the news when she’s ready,” the insider told Us Weekly before her publicisit confirmed the pregnancy.

“Zoe has always wanted a big family,” another insider told Us Weekly. “And Marco’s on board too!”

In an interview with People magazine, the actress -- who has appeared in several films including "Avatar," "Pirates of the Caribbean" and the "Star Trek" franchise -- said, “We found each out and it was that desire and not that necessity that put us together.” She called her husband's decision to get a portrait of her face tattooed on his arm the ultimate act of love. “It was the most romantic thing. I didn’t stop him, but I did sort of try to talk him out of it. I’ve done crazier things than that, and I’m pretty sure he has, too.”

Saldana secretly wed Perego in June 2013 in London after two months of dating. “It was super small but very romantic and beautiful,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “Zoe’s thrilled to have someone she can enjoy her life with!"

Her latest film, “Guardians of the Galaxy,” will debut in U.S. theaters Aug. 1.
