Zsa Zsa Gabor and her husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt are planning to sell their Bel Air, Calif., mansion for about $28 million. An option of lease and buy is also available, said John Blanchette, a publicist for Gabor.

The hillside house in the exclusive Los Angeles neighborhood of Bel Air was built for the late aviator and industrialist Howard Hughes. Later, Elvis Presley lived in the house for about four years decades ago when he was acting in movies filmed in Los Angeles, said Blanchette.

According to Von Anhalt, the home is 8,000 square foot estate, which boasts a total of 26 rooms and a pool.

Gabor, 93, the star of 1950s films 'Moulin Rouge' and 'Lili,' bought the house in the 1970s from the Presley estate for $600,000.

Von Anhalt said he has decided to sell because maintaining the home has become too much of a headache due to their age and ongoing health problems and figured it's finally time to move on.

He also said that he is tired of paying $30,000 a month as a rent and the couples only use two rooms in the house.

We only use two rooms, all the other rooms are locked up. It doesn't make sense for two people to live in such a big place, the Telegraph quoted Von Anhalt, Gabor’s ninth husband, as saying.

The Hungarian-born Gabor had her leg amputated on January 14 following an infection and, according to entertainment website TMZ.com, and wants to move into a Westwood condominium more suited to her wheelchair.

The real estate agent’s name has been announced later Thursday and the buyers can start looking at the house Monday, according to Blanchette.

Gabor has been married nine times and once said she was a good housekeeper, because every time she divorced, she kept the house.

Meanwhile, Gabor’s daughter Francesca Hilton is scoffing at reports that her mom and stepfather have put their Bel Air mansion on the market, insisting the $28 million asking price is too inflated to be true, according to torontosun.com.

Hilton also insists her stepfather has no right to sell the house because a pre-nuptial agreement he signed before marrying Gabor in the 1980s forbids him from profiting from the mansion.
