Evan Chandler, the father of the 13-year-old boy who accused the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, of molesting him in the early 1990's was found dead in his New Jersey apartment with a bullet wound in his head, NJ.com reported.

Chandler, 65, died from an apparent suicide, with the gun still in his hand when authorities discovered the body.

The former dentist charged Michael Jackson in the early 1990's for molesting his son and later accepted a $20 million settlement to drop the charges.

Chandler was found dead on November 5.
