Donald Trump has been accused of genocide by netizens.

The president of the United States is leading Americans’ battle against coronavirus. However, many felt that Trump is failing them, with several even accusing him of letting his people die.

Just recently, Trump downplayed the need for more ventilators in hospitals. He said, he didn’t believe thousands of ventilators are needed to fight COVID-19.

“I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You go into major hospitals sometimes, and they’ll have two ventilators. And now all of a sudden they’re saying, ‘Can we order 30,000 ventilators?’” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity (via The Guardian).

However, his statement did not sit well with the public, especially since the death tolls in the country has continued to rise.

“Donald Trump is a traitor,” author and political commentator Jared Yates Sexton wrote.

He explained that genocide doesn’t require violence, guns or mass killing. “Simply holding back necessary supplies and aid for political purposes constitutes genocide and has led to some of the most tragic moments in human history,” he added.

He concluded that what Trump is doing is “quiet genocide” and it’s a “slow-moving genocide.” Several Twitter users observed the same and slammed the POTUS on social media.

“Trump is letting Americans die in New York and Michigan because the governors don't roll over and lick his [explicit] Trump is letting Americans die because of his ego. That makes @realDonaldTrump as much of a monster as Manson,” @CheyenneDancer wrote.

Another added that Trump failed the American people for weeks and months. The netizen added that Americans die unnecessarily due to the POTUS’ negligence and incompetence.

Trump was once asked to rate his response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the president gave himself a perfect 10. Many reacted, with some saying that they would give him negative 10. Meanwhile, others wondered why the over-confident POTUS didn’t give himself 11, they concluded that maybe he knew he didn’t perform well about the issue.
