Dwayne Johnson shared a new poster of the highly anticipated DC movie, "Black Adam," ahead of the trailer release.

The new poster featured a left profile of Johnson, who is playing the title role, alongside a tagline, "The world needed a hero, it got Black Adam." In the poster, the 50-year-old actor can be seen wearing the black costume of the superhero and some yellowish lighting can be seen on his chest.

The poster also mentioned that the movie is slated to release only in theaters on Oct. 21. The actor wrote the tagline in the caption and added, "World premiere trailer of #BlackAdam ⚡ ️ drops TOMORROW. Hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change."

Fans shared their reactions in the comments section.

One of the fans shared a collage of Black Adam and Superman, noting that they should come together in future DC movies. "The world needs this, Let’s hope it gets it," the fan captioned the photo.

Another fan questioned the tagline, "How did the world need a hero? Superman resurrected, WW was back after 100 years away, Batfleck united the 7 (created the Justice League) who just literally saved the world from Steppenwolfe and Darkseid’s invasion… these ones weren’t heroes?"

A fan shared a photo of Black Adam and Shazam! (Played by actor Zachary Levi) and wrote, "Would love to see them together."

The new poster came a week after Johnson dropped a photo of his costume on Twitter.

"Black Adam" is helmed by director Jaume Collet-Serra and it will also star Noah Centineo, Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi and Quintessa Swindell. The movie is co-produced by Hiram Garcia alongside his brother Dany Garcia and Beau Flynn.

Aside from "Black Adam," Johnson will be seen in "The King," "Red One," "San Andreas 2," "Doc Savage" and "Big Trouble in Little China."

He also lent his voice for DC's animated movie, "DC League of Super-Pets," for Krypto's character. The movie is slated to release on July 29. Several high-profile stars, including Keanu Reeves, Kevin Hart, John Krasinski and Kate McKinnon will also lend their voices to this movie.
