After issuing two recalls for its F-Series Super Duty trucks, Explorer SUVs, and Lincoln Aviators, Ford (F) has issued another recall for select 2017 to 2019 Super-Duty SuperCrew pickup trucks for a potential fire hazard that could start in the interior of the vehicle.

The recall affects 547,538 trucks in North America that are fitted with carpet flooring that could start on fire after a crash. The trucks were built at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant from Oct. 8, 2015 to Oct. 29, 2019.

The fire hazard stems from the front seat belt pretentioner that is designed to deploy during a car accident. The pretentioner can generate excessive sparks that, in some cases, could ignite the carpet or carpet insulation in the interior of the trucks near the B-pillar. This could cause a fire to spread throughout the truck, increasing the risk of injury, Ford said.

To repair the pretensioner issue, Ford dealers will apply foil tape to the carpet and carpet insulation, if needed. They will also modify the sound deadener on the back said of the B-pillar trim panel, Ford said.

Ford has received one report of a fire related to the pretentioner problem. The automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the recall.

The recall number is 19S52.

Shares of Ford stock were down 1.02% as of 2:46 p.m. EST on Friday.
