The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced Thursday that Francesca Eastwood was named Miss Golden Globe 2013.

Eastwood is the 19-year-old daughter of Clint Eastwood and actress Frances Fisher. She will help hand out awards during the 2013 Golden Globes ceremony in January.

"I am honored to have been chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press to be Miss Golden Globe of 2013," Eastwood said in a statement. "I have watched the Golden Globes ceremonies since I was a little girl, and it means so much to me to be a part of one of Hollywood's most illustrious events."

The title of Miss Golden Globe generally is given to the son or daughter of a celebrity, like Rumer Willis, Melanie Griffith and Rainey Qualley, Andie McDowell's daughter who won last year.

"Francesca comes from a very talented family and we are delighted to have her be our Miss Golden Globe," HFPA President Dr. Aida Takla-O'Reilly said in a statement. "She is a budding actress and is a great addition as we celebrate the show's 70th anniversary!"

Francesca Eastwood is a student at the University of Southern California and stars on E!'s reality series "Mrs. Eastwood and Company."

The 70th annual Golden Globes will air on NBC on Jan. 13. hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler at 8 p.m. EST live from the Beverly Hilton.
