Jennifer Aniston is not certain whether she will ever become pregnant and have a baby, but the “Friends” alum does find the prospect pretty terrifying.

In a recent interview, the 49-year-old star, who was married to Brad Pitt and is currently separated from Justin Theroux, got candid about her personal life and the many baby rumors she has found herself the subject of.

During a chat with ELLE, Aniston admitted she wasn’t sure she would have kids, but revealed the idea of starting a family always felt “quite honestly, kind of frightening.”

“Some people are just built to be wives and have babies. I don’t know how naturally that comes to me,” the actress explained.

However, that doesn’t mean Aniston is completely closed off to the possibility of having a child someday. “Who knows what the future holds in terms of a child and a partnership— how that child comes in...or doesn’t? And now with science and miracles, we can do things at different times than we used to be able to.”

Aniston’s comments come amid rumors she is getting back together with Pitt, however, there has been no evidence the two have reunited. While the “Dumplin’” star has embraced her single status, she isn’t happy that people focus on her past relationships rather than her achievements.

“It’s such a shallow lens that people look through. It’s the only place to point a finger at me as though it’s my damage—like it’s some sort of a scarlet letter on me that I haven’t yet procreated, or maybe won’t ever procreate.”

While Aniston believes having a happy ending is “admirable,” she insisted “everybody’s path is different.”
