Lizzo doesn’t really care that a lot of people didn’t like her choice of outfit at the Lakers game on Sunday. Despite receiving criticism, the 31-year-old singer offered up a piece of advice for those who were upset.

“You know what, if you really don't like my [expletive], you can kiss it. 'Cause kissing it makes it go away, I promise."

According to Entertainment Tonight, the singer maintained a positive, carefree attitude while discussing the event in an Instagram live video.

Lizzo talks about how she is who she is and that people who are criticizing her and can take note and that she can “inspire you to do the same.”

"You don't have to be like me. You need to be like you. And never ever let somebody stop you or shame you from being yourself."

The outfit in question was a long black T-shirt that had a cutout section in the back, revealing that she was wearing a thong. For the majority of her Lakers game appearance, Lizzo was sitting down and enjoying her drink, watching the game. Then her song “Juice” came on, which inspired her to stand up and dance.

The cameras cut to her and revealed her twerking with her thong on display for the crowd, leading many people to criticize her choice of fashion. While Twitter users and commentators alike discussed whether it was inappropriate or not, many came to her defense, pointing out the double-standard.

"Like, this is who I've always been," Lizzo continued.

Lizzo described herself in the video as a very “solid, grounded person,” who is not affected at all from everybody’s criticism. She then brought up how many have not seen a body like hers in a while and says that she doesn’t want to suddenly start censoring herself now that she’s famous.
