Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of former President Trump, on Tuesday defended his stepmother Melania from critics who knocked her Christmas decorations, calling on them to “apologize.”

In an Instagram post, Don Jr., 43, compared Jill Biden’s White House Christmas decorations to his stepmother’s and called on people who criticized Melania’s decorations to apologize.

“Anyone who ever criticized Melania’s Christmas decorations needs to apologize right now,” Trump wrote in the caption.

In a second photo, Don Jr. also seemingly insulted President Joe Biden by using a play on the “Let’s go Brandon” slogan, which is a euphemism for “F--- Biden” among people in the right-wing circles.

“If we lower our expectations any further we’re gonna turn into an S-hole country,” Don. Jr. added.

The “Let’s go Brandon” slogan became popular among Republicans on Oct. 2 when the crowd behind Brandon Brown, a 28-year-old NASCAR driver, was heard chanting “F— Joe Biden” while he was being interviewed by an NBC Sports reporter. At the time, the reporter suggested the crowd was chanting “Let’s go, Brandon.

Don Jr.’s post comes after Melania became the subject of criticism in the past for her darker-themed Christmas decorations, with many calling her unconventional grove of red trees in the White House’s East Colonnade hallway as “the avenue of blood-red trees” and “hallway of Yuletide murders.”

The former first lady’s office said the red motif symbolized valor and bravery, adding that the color was an extension of the stripe in the presidential seal, according to a statement issued in Nov. 2018. However, some people compared Melania’s red Christmas trees to the horror movie "The Shining" and dystopian show "The Handmaid’s Tale."

Melania also faced backlash after a leaked audio recording of her conversation with a former close friend and senior advisor Stephanie Winston Wolkoff caught her saying: “I’m working like — my a-- off — on Christmas stuff, you know? Who gives a f--k about Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”
