Hilaria Baldwin Declares Support For Husband Alec After His 'Rust' Interview: 'I Am Not Going Anywhere'

Hilaria Baldwin is standing by her husband Alec Baldwin no matter what.

Following the actor's first sit-down interview since the "Rust" shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, Hilaria, 37, took to Instagram Friday to share a throwback photo of her and her husband kissing on their wedding day as well as a lengthy caption in which she professed her love for Alec.

"'I am here, I love you, and I will take care of you.' These were the only words that came to me when we learned Halyna had died. I remember saying that phrase over and over again," Hilaria wrote.

The yoga instructor recalled the "horrific loss," the "torture" to Hutchins' family and the "unthinkable nightmare" Alec went through in the wake of the Oct. 21 shooting. Hilaria said she couldn't forget a moment that had been captured by photographers of her husband documenting his "agony" to her on the phone on the day of the incident.

The mother of six went on to detail her concern over Alec sitting down for an interview regarding the tragedy.

"I was afraid for you to open up because I've seen your spirit crushed, your mental health shattered, your soul in unimaginable pain. Sometimes I wonder how much one body, one mind can take. I don't want to lose you," Hilaria continued.

But the "Mom Brain" host said she was "proud" of her husband for sitting down for an interview and speaking about the shooting amid all the gossip, conspiracies and opinions. "Everything gets twisted and turned, torn apart, picked at, even invented," she wrote.

Hilaria also credited Alec with helping her find her voice again after she "stopped speaking because of fear." She wrote that the actor has always encouraged her to speak, use her voice and stay true to herself. "You were right and continue to inspire me," she added.

She went on to share that she and Alec both wear their hearts on their sleeves, which makes them "targets" who are "easy" to hurt.

"So I go back to, 'I am here, I love you, and I'm going to take care of you.' We honor Halyna and her family. To hopefully figure out how this happened and whatever we can do to make sure it never happens again," she continued. "My Alec, I am here to heal any of your pain that I can. I am not going anywhere. Onward to being Alec and Hilaria, messy, emotions strong, but lots and lots of love—until the very end."

The "30 Rock" actor left a sweet comment on his wife's post, saying, "I’m lucky. Sometimes it doesn’t seem that way to me. But having you and our family…I’m the luckiest guy on Earth."

Alec and Hilaria share six children — Carmen, 8, Rafael, 6, Leonardo, 5, Romeo, 3, Eduardo, 1, and 9-month-old daughter Lucia. He's also the father to actress and model Ireland Baldwin, whom he shares with Kim Basinger.

Hilaria's post comes a day after Alec's interview with George Stephanopoulos aired on ABC.

During the sit-down, the actor claimed that he did not pull the trigger of the gun that killed Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza on the New Mexico set of his Western film.

"I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them. Never," Alec told Stephanopoulos.

Alec said that he doesn't care if his career is over after the shooting. He also claimed that while he feels angry and sad over the tragedy, he doesn't feel guilty because "someone is responsible for what happened, and I can't say who that is, but I know it's not me."

Alec went on to reveal that he's been told it's "unlikely" he'll personally face criminal charges, adding that he continues to cooperate in investigations. "I don't have anything to hide," he said.

On Nov. 17, Baldwin and other "Rust" producers were named in a lawsuit filed by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, who was allegedly standing in the line of fire when the gun went off. An investigation is ongoing.

A two-hour "20/20" special that will delve into the events ahead of the shooting on "Rust" and the investigations is set to air next Friday at 9:01 p.m. EST on ABC and will be available to stream on Hulu the next day.
