The New York Jets (3-9) enter Week 14 with a pair of uncertainties. They need to determine a starting quarterback and get their top rusher back in playing shape to close out the season.

Rich Cimini of ESPN reports that there is no confirmation from head coach Todd Bowles as to whether rookie quarterback Sam Darnold (foot) will start against the Bills after missing three consecutive games. However, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport posted on Thursday that Darnold, who had a full practice on Wednesday, is "expected to exit the injury report pretty soon" and could have played in Week 13.

Indeed, there was talk of Darnold playing against the Titans. However, backup Josh McCown started instead in the Jets' fourth quarter loss.

McCown (back) had limited participation on Wednesday and Thursday.

Bowles has said that his biggest concern is Isaiah Crowell, who has been sidelined for two straight games due to a toe injury. Crowell, who did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday, will sit out Sunday's matchup if he doesn't practice Friday, according to Bowles.

The 25-year-old has averaged 4.8 yards a carry this season. Crowell has rushed for a total of 680 yards and six touchdowns.

Other players on the injury report include tight end Jordan Leggett (knee) who had limited participation Wednesday and Thursday.

Wide receivers Robby Anderson (ankle), Quincy Enunwa (ankle) and Andre Roberts (foot) all had full participation on Thursday.

Other players with full participation on Thursday include running back Trenton Cannon (hamstring), tight end Eric Tomlinson (elbow), offensive tackle Spencer Long (knee/finger), offensive lineman Kelvin Beacham (knee),  linebacker Jordan Jenkins (shoulder), defensive back Buster Skrine (shoulder), defensive back Mo Claiborne (shoulder/neck), and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (thumb).
