Perez Hilton's career seems to be in deep trouble now that celebrities like Lady Gaga and Britney Spears have stopped following the celebrity blogger, who claims to deliver "celebrity juice, not from concentrate."

Perez Hilton (real name Mario Lavandeira) was hated by celebrities when he started out, but some attention-hounds like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian became friendly with him for all the exposure they got. Over the years he grew from an obscure blogger obsessed with bashing socialites and actors into something of a celebrity himself.

But now, he may have gone too far.

Perez Hilton is now preaching to a new generation, and they don't like it when you insult a member of their favorite boy band, namely Zayn Malik from One Direction.

The drama unfolded when Hilton tweeted a story from his blog about Zayn Malik deleting his Twitter account.

The writer automatically assumed that this meant Malik was leaving One Direction by posting, "One Direction's Zayn Malik DELETES His Twitter! http://perez.ly/QXFc4j Called it! I said he'd be the first to leave 1D! This is the beginning!"

One Direction fans were so irate that not only did Zayn Malik's name begin trending on the mini-blog, but so did Perez Hilton's for saying that Malik was leaving the band.

After getting slammed for his comment about the boy band singer he posted a minute later, "One Direction fans sure like to use the word #f*ck a lot! Ha"

Perez Hilton, a glutton for any juicy drama, or "dramz" as he likes to say, then retweeted a post that said Perez Hilton is trending worldwide.

But what he did next might be unforgiveable for some. He posted a video that allegedly shows Zayn Malik cheating on his girlfriend.

But Perez Hilton is basking in the new-found hate that is being spewed at him writing:

"Perez Hilton is STILL a worldwide trending topic on Twitter! So cray cray! #Loves"

Tweeters who are continuing to talk about Perez Hilton are saying things along the lines of:

"Perez Hilton doesn't realize that this fandom can literally end his career" and another tweeter wrote "Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Miley Cyrus Unfollow Perez Hilton On Twitter, Allegedly Over Comments About 'One Direction' GOTTA LOVE THEM."

But @fouseyTUBE might be seeing the bigger picture: "the directioners who've been cussing Perez Hilton out since yesterday don't realize they're doing him a favor by keeping him trending. lol."

Do you think Perez Hilton's career will be over because a few major celebrities are no longer following the blogger?
