Sony Corp is considering pulling out of its LCD joint venture with South Korea's Samsung Electronics, a media report said on Wednesday.

South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo reported that Sony and Samsung were in talks to break up their flat screen joint venture S-LCD, quoting an unnamed industry source.

Samsung had no immediate comment on the report.
