Wall Street was flat on Monday, as investors look ahead to Wednesday’s release of the Federal Reserve’s latest minutes from its July policy meeting.

On the earnings calendar, the only S&P 500 company scheduled to report results is retailer Urban Outfitters (Nasdaq: URNB) after the bell on Monday. The retailer is forecast to report second quarter earnings of 48 cents per share on revenue of $768.1 million, according to analysts polled by Reuters. During the same period a year-ago, Urban reported earnings of 42 cents per share on revenue of $676.27 million.

Shares of Urban Outfitters Inc. edged up 0.20 percent to $39.82 in afternoon trade.

On Wednesday, apparel retailer American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE: AEO) issues results, while Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE: ANF) and Aeropostale Inc. (NYSE: ARO) report on Thursday.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 29.26 points or 0.19 percent, to 15,052.21. The S&P 500 Index was down 4.13 points or 0.25 percent, to 1,651.69. The Nasdaq Composite added 9.69 points, or 0.27 percent, to 3,612.46.
