Emilia Clarke has been absent from the big screen since 2020, but it doesn’t mean she hasn’t been working on some major projects.

The “Game of Thrones” star will ring in her 35th birthday on Saturday and will have plenty to celebrate thanks to the new additions to her resume. Clarke’s fans can expect to catch her in at least one movie and TV show in 2022.

The actress is set to voice a character named Malicia in the animated film “The Amazing Maurice.” The movie is based on the 2001 book “The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents” by Terry Pratchett.

Clarke is also set to appear in the Disney+ miniseries “Secret Invasion,” which is based on the Marvel comic of the same name.

The actress has been cast in an undisclosed role and previously admitted she was concerned about revealing too much information about the series.

During a July appearance on “The Tonight Show,” Clarke told host, Jimmy Fallon, she was a bit intimidated by the secrecy of the show, despite having experience with remaining mum over her “GOT” storylines.

“I’m already scared,” Clarke confessed. “The first people I spoke to from Marvel were their security team, and I am convinced that there is a man outside my house. There's been a car parked there for a long time, and I swear to God, he’s undercover.”

Aside from her roles in 2022, Clarke was recently cast as Jean Kerr, the wife of Senator Joseph McCarthy, in the upcoming biopic about the controversial politician.

Gabrielle Stewart of HanWay Films, which will handle the distribution and international sales for the movie, teased the upcoming film while praising the cast.

“There are many countries around the world dealing with their own McCarthys right now, and it is no surprise that a director [Václav Marhoul] who grew up behind the iron curtain should wish to lift the veil on McCarthy, the ultimate architect of populism,” Stewart said in a statement.

“True stories are stranger than fiction, and Tom O’Connor’s screenplay is brilliantly researched, both shocking and entertaining, yet treats its villainous characters with true human complexity. [Michael] Shannon is perfectly suited to inhabit the role of McCarthy, and in Jean Kerr, our story’s very own Lady Macbeth, there’s a delicious role for Emilia Clarke.”

“McCarthy” is expected to start production in fall 2022 and film in the U.S. and Prague.
