Krysten Ritter discussed the possibility of playing Jessica Jones in "Avengers: Infinity War." Netflix

The next “Avengers” film could be an epic team up. Krysten Ritter, who plays Jessica Jones on the eponymous Netflix drama, said that she is ready to join the “Avengers: Infinity War” cast if directors Joe and Anthony Russo want her.

At Wizard World Portland, Ritter was asked about the possibility of appearing in the 2018 superhero flick alongside the other Defenders, Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist.

“Obviously, it'd be really exciting to be a part of those giant, huge movies with those great characters who are already established, so it'd be awesome,” she said, ComicBook.com reports.

This isn’t the first time the possibility of the Defenders joining the two-part “Avengers: Infinity War” has been discussed. Charlie Cox also recently revealed that he is also ready to join the big screen heroes.

“I have not received that call!” the “Daredevil” actor told Entertainment Tonight in January. “It's a call he would still love to get, though. “Could you imagine? That would be the coolest thing ever.”

Cox was sure to add that he didn’t know if that would ever happen, though. Logistically, it’s difficult, which is exactly what one of the film’s directors also explained.

“It’s complicated,” Anthony Russo told Brazilian outlet Super last year (via Nerdist). “When we start to serialize the telling of stories it’s difficult. You have to have a lot of control and focus on the course of history. The films are controlled by a group led by Kevin Feige, so they function as a unit. Other products, even if they are from Marvel, are controlled by others. Then there is the possibility of a crossover, but it’s more complicated.”

Still, it sounds like Ritter would be happy to play Jessica Jones in any Marvel projects, even if it’s just other TV shows. “It'd be awesome if I got to pop up somewhere else,” Ritter added at the Portland fan convention. “There's always the chance that could happen. I don't really know, they don't tell me anything, so I'm totally stoked about the playground on Netflix.”

“Jessica Jones” Season 1 is available now on Netflix. “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1” is scheduled to hit theaters May 4, 2018.
