China's Yingli Green Energy said its unit signed an agreement with Borrego Solar Systems to supply the San Diego-based company 20 megawatts of photovoltaic (PV) modules in 2011.

The modules, which turn sunlight into electricity, will be used for commercial solar projects across the United States.

Yingli, based in Baoding, China, is one of the world's largest makers of solar equipment.

Yingli Green's stock closed at $11.79 on Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
