Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskaya were the third couple to be eliminated from Season 21 of “Dancing With the Stars” during Week 4 of the hit ABC competition. The 71-year-old actor concluded his time on the ballroom floor with a bang – and one of his iconic, long-winded rants.

“The fact that I have been eliminated is false,” Gary said after it was announced that he’d be going home. “Because my spirit with Anna has a partnership that will remain in this room throughout the show so you won’t see us dancing… but we’ll be there.”

Alfonso Ribeiro, who was acting as Erin Andrew’s co-host for the installment while Tom Bergeron was away, attempted to get Gary to wrap things up. However, the contestant wasn’t finished with his speech and told the guest co-host to stop interrupting him.

That wasn’t the first shocking comment Gary made during the Monday night installment. After performing a Jazz routine to the Buddy Holly song “That’ll Be the Day” (in honor of his most memorable year) Gary revealed that he wasn’t too impressed with judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s critique of his performance.

“I just… you know, it’s Week 4,” Carrie Ann began. “I’m looking or improvement and I didn’t quite see the improvement I would like to see.”

“You’re not looking with your eyes open,” Gary shot back, telling her to do it now.

Gary and Anna earned a 16 out of 30 for their routine, the lowest score of the night, before getting eliminated from the competition.

The 34-year-old pro responded to her and Gary’s elimination on Instagram, revealing that she couldn’t have been more proud to dance alongside her spirited partner week after week.

“First, I’m so incredibly proud of @thegarybusey for giving it his all, he lit up the dance floor every week with his whole heart and spirit., it was inspiriting,” she captioned a photo of the two of them. “It was an honor to have been on this journey with him, and I’m so happy we were able to do the Buddy Holly dance tonight that meant so much to him. Second, I want to thank all our fans that voted and supported us, you guys are amazing!! I’m so grateful to have had another go in the @dancingabc ballroom.”

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
