Adam Levine took the stage early in the Oscars program to perform his original song nominated for tonight's golden award. With a pared down set and his band Maroon 5 behind him, Levine crooned "Lost Stars" as the first song of the night. The number was a big departure after Neil Patrick Harris’ crowd-pleasing extravagant show opener.

Other original songs nominated alongside “Lost Stars” are "Glory" ("Selma"), "Grateful" ("Beyond The Lights"), "Everything is Awesome" ("The Lego Movie") and "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" ("Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me").

Equally excited to see the 87th Academy Awards start (and her husband perform) was Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo. A shot of her during Levine's performance quickly went viral. The photo shows the 25-year-old sticking out her tongue and giving the "thumbs up."

Earlier, the pair strutted their stuff on the red carpet, showing off Prinsloo’s red and black sequenced Armani dress and Levine’s sleek Armani suit. The duo was married last year.
