An 18-month-old baby died in India after he accidentally drank gasoline from a bottle in the kitchen.

The incident took place Tuesday in the eastern state of Odisha. According to the doctors, the gasoline was kept in a bottle to refill the stove. The toddler boy was playing in the kitchen when his mother forgot the bottle on the floor after refilling the stove. She then got involved in her household chores, the police said, according to Times Now.

The child, identified as Vedant, consumed the entire bottle. Minutes later, his eyes turned white and he started vomiting. He also had difficulty breathing.
