A 72-year-old Nepalese man is hoping to get the title as the world's shortest man in the Guinness World Records.

Chandra Bahadur Dangi, who stay in western Nepal, is reportedly only 22 inches (56 centimeters) tall, according to the Associated Press.

The current Guinness World Records title of the shortest man is with Junrey Balawing of the Philippines, who is 23.5 inches (60 centimeters) tall.

Dangi's nephew Dolak Dangi informed Tuesday that his uncle would be meeting the Guinness officials in Katmandu in the next few days to be measured.
